Week 4 by Ed

Starting my 4th week of the new diet.  Things are going pretty well.  Hit a plateau this week which was a bummer, but it made it up by the end of the week.  Went out to dinner on Saturday (Ruby Tuesday’s), didn’t go nutso, and also didn’t fall off the wagon!   We’ve decided to go [...]

Week 2 Done! by Ed

Stepped on the scale this morning…
322.8, which brings me up to 17.2 lbs. lost in two weeks!   Hopefully things will keep going this fast!   I’ve also been doing the Wii Fit just about every day, so I’m sure that’s helping as well.

My arm (cont.) by Ed

So, on my birthday, I went skiing and hurt my arm.  Today, I finally went to the doc, and he said that it was a torn rotator cuff.  I had talked with a friend before, and he offered that as a possibility.  It’s hurting less these days, but I might have to take my friend [...]

1 week down, 51 to go by Ed

So, I started my new diet last week, and now it’s time to step on the scale….  drum roll please…..
330.2!
That means I’ve lost 9.8 lbs!  Not bad for one week!  I know that some of that is water weight, and it will slow down, but still!   This week I have been very energetic, even though [...]

Wii (un)Fit by Ed

So, one of my gifts for Christmas from my wife was a Wii Fit.  The problem is, there’s a weight limit of 330 lbs.  Unfortunately this is slightly lower than I was at Christmas.  I haven’t posted any weight loss numbers yet, but I think I’ll be able to play with it this weekend. [...]

Comcastic? by Ed

So, our DirecTiVo has been giving us some major problems lately — freezing multiple times a day, requiring a reboot, extreme artifacts (to the point of not being able to watch some programs), and we’ve decided to switch to Comcast for our cable (and phone as well, since it’s cheaper).  We’ve been wanting to do [...]

One Calendar to Rule Them All by Ed

So, I bought an iPhone last year, and one of the things that bugged me was the fact that I couldn’t readily sync up my 4 Google calendars from my family members (if you don’t do this, you should — it’s an awesome way to keep track of everyone’s schedule).  I have now found a [...]

My arm by Ed

So, I think I might have broken my arm last weekend.  It still hurts to raise it out sideways.  I made a Dr’s appt to have him X-ray to find out.  Even if I did fracture it, they wouldn’t be casting it (just dealt with this a couple of months ago with Amelia), but I [...]

Ice Sucks by Ed

So, last Sunday I went skiing with Brandy, the kids, and Brandy’s mom.  This was our second day of the season, and we decided to try a little more difficult runs than we would normally do.  Also, it was very cold (-8 when we got there, but warmed up to a balmy 10).  This made [...]

Dinner by Ed

Nutrisystem Lasagne with Meat Sauce
1/2 corn
1/2 green beans
1/4 whole pumpkin seeds
1 slice of bread
1 small orange

I’m pretty full.  The lasagne tasted better than I feared it would (maybe a slight step down from Stouffer’s frozen lasagne)  I’m happy.  This means that I can deal with the food and be successful.  Brandy made the mistake of [...]
