Lots of stuff has been going on lately, here's a run-down:

Cooking – I'm learning to cook, with the help of my friend Ray, as well as Alton Brown (Good Eats) – I bought a bunch of 'hardware' at Bed, Bath and Beyond this week, so I'm almost there with the stuff I need. This weekend I made biscuits and gravy (from scratch), as well as sweet&sour/teriyaki chicken. The chicken (and sauces) turned out magnificently — the biscuits and gravy – not so much sad.gif I need more practice I think.

Gaming – lately I haven't been on my computer while at home – I've been on the PS2 that I recently moved to the garage. I bought some new games, like Katamari Damacy, GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, and Gran Turismo 3 & 4. Katamari Damacy is one that keeps getting my attention. It's such a simple, but addicting game! I wish there were more to do – I beat it this weekend, and then proceeded to recreating the moon over and over to see how big I could make the Katamari. I got up to 866 meters – that's approaching the theoretical max size of 900m – maybe I should try harder smile.gif

Books – I finished reading Ender's Shadow last night, and Brandy just started on Ender's Game, after I pestered her about reading it. I really enjoy Orson Scott Card's writing style. Unfortunately I think I might have read the 2 best books already – from what I've heard, the other books aren't as good. Maybe I'll start reading The Da Vinci Code next, a gift from Brandy last Christmas.

Career – I've been trying to go back into Systems Administration again, but so far without success. It's difficult right now because there's a lot of competion and my resume doesn't have "Unix Systems Administrator" as my current position, so I feel like I'm probably passed over because of it.

Home – We're currently thinking of moving to a better house and better neighborhood. Unfortunately this pretty much hinges on me finding a new job.
